Announcement: ConfigMgr 1511 Support in System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager

All about Windows 10 these days. And so lots of our customers heading for upgrading or deploying System Center Configuration Manager 1511. And while deploying and plannung all this….some of them also have other products related to ConfigMgr in use. For example the SCCM Connector in System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager…

Issue:

If you are running ConfigMgr 1511 together with SCSM 2012 R2 you will see some issues. The product team was asked regarding this and their first answer was, that this sceario is not supportet..

We know: When running those two Versions together we see EventLog Errors with EventID 33333 or EventID 34115:

“Data Access Layer rejected retry on SqlError:”

“Error writing relationship of type System.MobileDeviceHasOperatingSystem”

Solution:

First Microsoft announced that the new ConfigMgr will be supported in SCSM 2016…bad news so far!

But now the product Team had great News for all of us:

Aligned with the release of UR10 for SCSM 2012 R2  the SCCM Connector will be supported with ConfigMgr 1511.

Wuhuu!!!

Future:

Also in future we will see continous Support for new ConfigMgr Versions:

For all 4 month releases of ConfigMgr, SCSM will provide the support for new SCCM version within 4 weeks of its release (for existing SCCM connector scenarios only).
