Here is the agenda for the evening:
Talk 1: MovingImage moving to Microsoft Azure (45 min)
MovingImage has moved its video enterprise platform successfully from their datacenter to Microsoft Azure. They will share how they have used ARM-Templates, Salt and Kubernetes to migrate in 3 months. After the talk there is time to discuss future plans and to answer questions.
The following topics will be discussed:
– ARM-Template and how we handle them to setup multiple QA systems
– Our history with Blobstorage and how we migrated from our datacenter solution to Azure Blobstorage
– Virtualization Extension in VM and VM Scale Set
– Their general movement to Azure.
Talk 2: High availability for SQL Server using Azure as DR site (60 min)
In this session we will present the union of the local environment and the cloud and show the integration between these environments. The cloud is already a reality and we still have several environments that must remain in local environments due to legislation or company rules. In this session you will see that it is possible to maintain both environments.
