Microsoft has released the Azure Backup Server V2 some days ago
The Microsoft Azure Backup Server (MABS), is a “free” Backup-Software, able to perform Backup to Disk and to Cloud, and available for Azure Backup customers. The good old MABS in V1 was a great tool to backup your Server and Server Workloads like SQL, SharePoint or Exchange to Azure.
With the new release of MABS Microsoft introduces support for the modern infrastructure systems like Windows Server 2016, SQL 2016 and more
Also MABS is now able to be installed on Windows Server 2016 and so it is possible to use new Features in Windows Server 2016, e.g. Storage Features…
Aside the news in Microsoft space MABS V2 now supports backup of workloads hosted on vCenter and ESXi 6.5 (also 5.5 and 6.0)
