Aber eine Sache muss hier nun doch mal berichten. Gestern auf der MSIgnite wurde vom System Center Product Team angekündigt, dass es in Zukunft Desired State Configuration (DSC) auch für Linux geben soll…

und nun schaue ich heute morgen in meinen RSS-Feed und was sehe ich da:

PowerShell Desired State Configuration for Linux enables automated configuration management of Linux servers with PowerShell DSC.

Features in this release:

  • Push and Pull configuration mode support
  • Ten „Built-In“ resources for configuration of the Linux operating system
