With Update Rollup 6 for System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager there are several fixes provided.

Fixes

  • The “Remove-DisabledClassInstance” Windows PowerShell command times out without completing
  • Duplicate closed alerts in Find
  • Topology widget objects lose location when they are opened in a console that has a different locale and decimal format
  • WebConsole Details widget does not display anything
  • Top 10 Performance widgets (WebConsole) are sometimes empty
  • Problem with decoding SCOM trace log files

Installation

When installing UR6 you have to follow some Special steps:

  1. 1.Install the update rollup package on the following server infrastructure:
      Management Server
      Gateway Server
      Web Console Server
      Operations Consoles
  2. Apply SQL Scripts (located in %SystemDrive%\Program Files\System Center 2012 R2\Operations Manager\Server \SQL Script for Update Rollups )
      UR_Datawarehouse.sql against OperationsManagerDW database
      Update_rollup_mom_db.sql against OperationsManager database
  3. 3.Manually import the management packs (located in %SystemDrive%\Program Files\System Center 2012 R2\Operations Manager\Server\Management Packs for Update Rollups )
      Microsoft.SystemCenter.TFSWISynchronization.mpb
      Microsoft.SystemCenter.Visualization.Component.Library.mpb
      Microsoft.SystemCenter.Visualization.Library.mpb
      Microsoft.SystemCenter.Advisor.mpb
      Microsoft.SystemCenter.Advisor.Internal.mpb
      Microsoft.SystemCenter.2007.mp
      Microsoft.SystemCenter.Advisor.Resources.LANGUAGECODE_3LTR.mpb
  4. Update SCOM Agents

ATTENTION

To enable the web console fixes, add the following line to the %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\web.config file:

Do not install this update rollup package immediately after you install the System Center 2012 R2 server. Otherwise, the Health Service state may not be initialized.

    Hello Erik
    I’ve upgraded SCOM installation from UR5 to UR6.
    Mainly because of this fix:
    •WebConsole Details widget does not display anything
    •Top 10 Performance widgets (WebConsole) are sometimes empty

    Unfortunately, UR6 did not solve the problem.
    Still can’t see any data in the widget frame.

    Suggestions will be appreciated 🙂
